Our Gratitude List

Happy Thanksgiving, friends! We love this time of the year for all it brings — especially time with family and friends as well as the opportunity to slow down and reflect. We particularly love bonding over and celebrating all the good things that have come into our lives, and so we wanted to share with you our list of gratitudes this holiday season.

Phillip: I am most thankful each and everyday for my beautiful wife and family. As the years go by each moment grows more precious especially as our children seem to grow up at an alarming rate. I am also grateful for talented and fun group of people I get to work with every day and awesome leadership of Brandi Bernoskie at A+A; you all inspire me to continue learning strive to be at my very best and support me on days I’m not.

Adam: This year I’m grateful for my wife (and best friend), my two daughters, my son, and for our wonderful life that allows us to enjoy each other’s laughter and company.

Kim: This past year has been one of change and challenge, joy and adventure. I joined the Alchemy + Aim team in July and have loved getting to work alongside passionate and kind colleagues. The freedom of working remotely has my pup at my feet when I’m home in Houston and gives me the ability to be present with family and friends through travel. My husband, Kevin, and I were fortunate to log 46,752 miles visiting family and friends in the US and England. I am thankful for memories made, and the gift of another year to learn and grow!

Brian: I’m thankful for my parents. Being thousands of miles away from them over the past ten years has been a challenge, but they’re still there to talk to at the end of a hard day or when I need advice. My goal for 2019 is to spend more time with them and put myself in a better position to take care of them as they get older.

Tehya: This year has been one wild ride and as I come to this point of reflection on gratitude and time spent, I find myself grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow, both personally and professionally. This year has had many unexpected turns, and I am curious and excited to see what comes. I am grateful for quality time spent with friends and family, and explorations both near and far.

Radley: After having one of the worst migraines I’ve ever had, I’m thankful for my girlfriend Laurie for helping me out when I could barely think. She insisted I get rest and brought me an ice pack which I didn’t even think about. The past few hours all I could think about was the pain in my head, had trouble responding to her questions, then a magical ice pack appeared. So yes, this year I am thankful for ice packs! Thank you ice pa– I mean Laurie. Thank you Laurie!

Samantha: This year I am really thankful for where I live, with the rockies on my doorstep and endless places to explore, I am in awe and humbled by it every day and what’s better than that? I am also really grateful for my friends and family and their endless support, and of course, my fiancé because he always makes life an adventure!

Andrew: For me, 2018 has been the year of change. First of all, I’ve recently landed this incredible job here at Alchemy + Aim with this amazing team of super talented people. I get to do what I love from the comfort of my own home, with my dogs sleeping at my feet, and that’s pretty fantastic. Even more monumental this year was the birth of my son, Walter. He is the most adorable and perfect baby, and I’m so lucky to be his father. But most of all, I’m thankful for my wife, Sarah. Watching her seamlessly transition into motherhood has been nothing short of inspiring. She is an amazing wife, mother, and human, and I’m so thankful to have her in my life.

Robert: I’m thankful for poopie diapers, spit-up everywhere, sleep deprivation and endless joy that baby Jacob has brought. It’s been a year full of expectation, learning and surprises but I’m thankful for the opportunity to be able to be a father and guide this little guy through life.

Brandi: I had an unexpected Thanksgiving surprise last year: my little nephew was born 5 weeks early on Thanksgiving day. After a few weeks in the NICU, he was able to go home and has been an absolute joy to be around. Most importantly, my mom got to meet her grandson and spend time with him. Losing my mom this summer was really difficult, but I am so grateful for the time I had with her and that I was able to be there for her and be with my family. Life and death have reframed a lot for me this year. I have a really amazing team here at Alchemy+Aim, encouragement from clients and collaborators, a family I love, two cats who insist on ample snuggles, and a wonderful boyfriend who has supported me through it all. It’s not always easy, and sometimes your heart breaks, but really, it’s all reason to love more deeply.

Kathleen: This year, I’m most thankful for my partner and his kids. We have a wonderful life together, full of laughter and silly things like yoga with goats and good food and crazy gardening days. The simple life is the best life for us. I’m also thankful for amazing friends and colleagues and clients – even my cats! I’m blessed to have wonderful relationships that fill every day with joy.

Beth: I am thankful for all the wonderful blessings in my life; my health, my amazing husband, our needy dogs + crazy cat, a loving family, an amazing network of supportive friends. But, what I am most thankful for is the opportunity to be apart of such a dynamic team of professionals. It’s a true blessing to work amongst some of the smartest and most genuine individuals I’ve ever met. I have so much to be thankful for this year but being given the opportunity to join Brandi and her team was by far the greatest blessing.

Greg: First and foremost, I’m thankful for my wife; we were finally married in October after six years together  and it was one of the most beautiful days of my life. I’m so happy to be spending my life with her. Secondly, I’m thankful for family and friends. I’ve had a multitude of health issues this year and they’ve all be extremely supportive and helpful. 2018 was a good year and 2019 looks to be even better.

Heather: I’m so thankful for the opportunity to travel many times throughout this year and the time to build + tend a garden when I was home. The flexibility of working with an amazing remote team allowed me to travel to multiple new states and I spent a lot of time this summer in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I love the freedom that being a part of the Alchemy + Aim team brings!
